wow really? we're only on our 10th full lineup change? gee ...in such a short time too.
Steve Civerolo - Guitar, Vocals
Joey Diaz - Drums
Matt Garcia - Bass, Vocals
Joey left the band wishing no ill will towards Steve and Matt. Joey has tried to remain amicable and has left Steve alone and decided not to act like a child and post things on the internet that aren't true about him. Upon leaving Joey did take the money that he was owed out of the band account and also his fair share of what the band had made. Joey didn't go insane but tried to act like a professional and an adult. Steve and Matt will continue on despite loosing another drummer and hopefully be able to find someone that fits in with the band and how it's managed.

On our 9th full lineup change i must say we had a really good, fun, positive time overall. We did make some good live recordings during this era so you never know what might come out next year!
Steve Civerolo - Guitar, Vocals
Roberto Lujan - Bass, Vocals
Joey Diaz - Drums, Vocals
During this one Joey joined the band. we signed to a label, got back on the road, adopted a profitable business model, finished new songs, played new cities and got back on FM radio in our own hometown. and thats just in the first 120 days! i wish this split in Oct of 09 wouldve been as peaceful as it was originally made out to be... just know that the 3 grown ups in the situation stayed in the band. i couldnt believe what i had to deal with... especially since Berto quit and appointed Matt his successor on his own free will -- s

Sammy "Snacktime Anytime" Perez - Drums
we played SXSW for the 3rd time unofficially and we played w/TESLA at the casino... and maybe a few more but thats about it! this was pretty short lived... we opened for Soilwork and did coupla gigs before sammy was in w/the help of DAX from Requiem Mass once again... we are still friends w/this guy and have had a coupla all star jams w/him on stage ...as we have w/most of our ex TGB members! we fired Sammy at the end of April and our 2006/2007 drummer Justin helped us to fill in a show or two til we FINALLY found our guy -- s

berto had been my roommate for a coupla years and was a close bud who knew all the songs anyway... he was pretty much a shoo-in... he is obviously still the current TGB bassist... not much would get done in 2009 til we had the right drummer tho... tyler was already showing signs of unreliability -- s

i will never forget the day i met Matt. tyler called me over to where he worked and wanted me to meet this guy ...i felt all kinds of sick and pukey that day... as soon as i sat down w/Matt i felt fine. we shot the breeze and he told me he'd give TGB a go. i didn't realize the past he and tyler had unfortunately. we accomplished a lot in a short time! we wrote a handful of new songs, headlined the El Rey Theater, opened for Drowning Pool and sold out the 300 capacity Launchpad. Matt quit the band in mid Dec because of Tyler and his insanity.

tyler came back and played a show w/us on July 5th at the reopenning of the Launchpad... we decided to continue on together... but oh that mean nasty ol road... she'll getcha! our Sept/Oct tour 2008 on the west coast was cut short... it was 30% a funds issue and 70% a personalities issue... i decided to come home w/four shows remaining and we fired Chris at Frontier Restaurant in ABQ in the 2nd week of Oct -- s

Justin Hotchkiss - Drums
almost doesnt seem worth mentioning here... this drummer is the only ex TGB member that im not friendly with and there were NO new songs finished in this era... this lineup's 1st show was a complete disaster in Dallas, TX & our last show was at Burt's Tiki Lounge at the end of June 2008... this drummer's wife completely controlled him and his emotions even when he was 1000 miles away from her! oh and they sabotaged us the night he quit and deleted our entire website ...yeah this one youre on right now... we did SXSW for the 2nd time unofficially and headlined the Viper Room for the 1st time... so not all bad! also got a wicked false start on a new record too! -- s

this lineup played some amazing shows including HELLYEAH and the Viper Room several times... black eyes and blown amps... probably the most road miles yet for this lineup! only the current lineup of TGB has travelled more i think... Tyler quit on us in the last week of January 2008 but played shows w/us til feb 29th -- s

Steve Civerolo - Guitar, Vocals
Chris Mattson - Bass, Vocals
Dax Lujan - Drums
Dax is the drummer for my personal favorite ABQ band Requiem Mass. i called him first thing in the Doubletree hotel in downtown Austin, TX, on our tour on June 1st freaking out because Jesse had just told us he couldnt play the CD release in 17 days... Dax calmed me down and assured me that he had it under control ...Requiem were already direct support on the June 17th bill so he would be setup and ready to go... we ended up having a great show and Kris Shiffer from Requiem Mass ended the set w/us on KRIGH which was an amazing all star jam and one of my favorite TGB live recordings to listen to to this day. Justin's jail release date kept getting pushed back... he went in May 3rd for a 3o day sentence but ended up being in for 54 days... needless to say we had both Jesse & Dax fill in shows for the next coupla months... i wanna say Dax did June 30th & one in late july and Jesse did two in early July... by our last show in July 07 we had a new drummer -- s

this was a temporary fix as we had some big shows in May of 2007 and an ambitious southern tour in June... Jesse filled in for i think 10 or 12 shows and was sposed to play the Green Album CD Release but had a prior committment w/his band of more than 10 yrs w/his brother Old Man Shattered. -- s

"the green album lineup"
Steve Civerolo - Guitar, Vocals
Justin Florez - Drums
Chris Mattson - Bass, Vocals
this was the brainchild of me and Justin starting a few weeks before the last lineup was even done... we wanted to move in a heavier direction and i was more than ready to write new songs like "Memphis" & "the New Sauce" that were more technical and harder to play. this lineup, unfortunately, would be plagued by Justin's increasing criminal record w/the state of NM... he was behind bars for the CD release of the album he's on! our last show w/him was on April 28th 2007 at the El Rey for the last spring crawl -- s

Steve Civerolo - Guitar, Vocals
Mykey Garcia - Bass, Vocals
Roman Barham - Drums
Roman befriended after Louie had let us know he was leaving the band in NOV 05... Roman would come to shows and help us sell merch and such... i wish we had ended things w/Louie a little more politely but we were young and stupid... Roman played in TGB as we rode the original lineup's acclaim and success ...and the first recording's grandiosity! the 3 of us being roommates didn't help things and by the time we undertook an 18 day tour thru the south the cracks were more than visible in the band. i think the last show for this lineup was a bday party in Belen on Sept 2 06. i already had my new drummer.

"the black album" lineup
Steve Civerolo - Guitars, Vocals
Mykey Garcia - Bass, Vocals
Louie Tartaglia - Drums
i'd know Louie from my old old high school era band "Struck Blind" and we'd recently started jamming again... i met Mykey on July 19th and i lost my job on July 20th and we jammed the 3 of us for the first time that day... i let them know at the end of our first practice that we had a show in less than 48 hrs. this lineup's last show would be new year's eve 2005. this lineup split up via a heated phone conversation on New Year's Day 2006. the three of us are good friends again and have been for a few years. -- s

Steve Civerolo - Guitar & Vocals
David "Pops" Cuellar - Bass
Mike "Quiet Nus" Karlstrum - Drums
this lineup only played one show... the band used to be called UTOPIAN and we were missing one member but had a gig at Burt's to play... i changed the name before i changed the members... Louie came and watched i think... either that or he was sposed to and didnt make it -- s
