hey everyone. little bit of a ruff start this morning as i woke up with no voice. we left town around 3pm and made it in time for our meet and greet here in Farmington at the Hot Topic. there was more people than i thought there'd be and we soldiered thru about five songs (Sewn Shut, Disappear, Say it to My Face, Cry & Unkept). the store played our entire album while we sold some merch and signed some cd's. we also made some great new friends, saw some old pals & did good promo for the show tomorrow as well as the mar 15th show back up here. its now almost 3am and the 3 of us have been going over the conference call we had w/our label a few weeks agao and what kind of songs we are going to continue working on when we get home. we have a fun show tomorrow but i hope my throat heals cuz it's a 2 hour set! othere than that we are having a blast and i know this trip will end way way too soon. but we will be catching a lot of road in march and hopefully playing a few new states further east that we haven't been to yet. peace, love & roadkill -- steve beneath

hey everyone! well if you were there then you already know ...the filming of the live dvd was a huge success! the footage is still in the editing stage and soon after that's finished we will work quickly on mixing the audio to dark metal perfection! the new songs went well and we owe the great crowd of all agers and the sound/lighting crew a great debt! thanks to everyone who came out early, rawked and/or stayed late to make this happen and come together so perfectly! it was an absolute blast!

now we FINALLY get to hit the road with these new songs! first up are our friends in Farmington! we are playin a free UNPLUGGED show at your Hot Topic on friday to help spread the word about the killer all day ALL AGES metal show happening the next day just over the border in Red Mesa AZ! if you're able to get to either of these four corner area shows we promise it'll be worth it! we play a mammoth hour and a half set at each stop! then we get to see all our pals in Phoenix AZ on sunday ... the perfect valentine's day date! so many good people are doing what they can to help the people affected in the Haiti earthquake. here are a couple of things we have aligned ourselves with for the sake of the cause.

Starting on Monday, January 25th and continuing for two weeks, CD baby will donate $1 from every CD sale through www.cdbaby.com, and $1 from every download sale over $8.99 on that site, to the American Red Cross and to Mercy Corps, a Portland-based relief organization with a large presence in Haiti. With your help, we all hope to raise tens of thousands of dollars via that distributor.

also, our good buds at KZRR 94rock in Albuquerque are helping to sponsor a benefit show at The El Rey Theater in downtown ABQ on SAT Jan 30th. all proceeds from the door of this show will go to the American Red Cross as well as they continue to help in the relief efforts. there will be an announcement early next week the full lineup of bands for this show. please help in these efforts if you can. hello party people! we are off the road for the rest of the year ...we decided to add a few more ABQ shows to end 2009 w/a bang! lemme just say the Farmington show was INSANE! pics & vids are up on www.thegroundbeneath.com & www.youtube.com/thgroundbeneath as well as our myspace.

we have a free show early this coming Sunday night at Atomic Cantina and then Warner Drive joins us onstage on last time for the year on black friday at Misty's! then we booked a double header so we could sneak in an all ages show right before we play the Zone's Christmas party at the Launchpad! i know we can get a good caravan going that night from show to show!
