one of the funnest shows we've done in a while! first show in about 60 days too... thanks to everyone who came out to watch me & matt w/no other bands ...we were just kinda makin it up til my voice gave out! -- s

haha ab-so-loot CHAOS! i played drums and so did Matt at one point and then i think i was on bass while Jeff from Eve of an End sang... and i seem to remember Frankie from eoae w/out pants at one point ...lots of Sabbath covers and maybe Metallica (altho some of these songs tend to fall apart after the intro or first verse) ...anyway it was fun night and a cool send off for us as we moved to Las Vegas only a week or two later -- s

a great jam for TGB! this and the HeadHunters show in March were probably the two best shows of the yr by this point. Dax from Requiem Mass would be the main reason on both! we played our songs and we did an encore Aerosmith cover w/Johnny U from Warner Drive on the drums! great way to end a chapter of our career -- s

GOOD TURNOUT! thanks to everyone who came out ...sorry the drummer experiment was a failure -- s

well let's see ...it was my 27th bday and me and matt drove across nevada and california to play an acoustic show just the two of us ...and it was pretty cool! -- s

any time the bassist has to sit down on the drums and show the drummer a song in front of record label people it's a bit embarrassing ...needless to say we canned this drummer and flew him home from the next city -- s

4 song set and this drummer screwed up on all 4 songs -- s

the drummer was not cutting it ...he played one song so fast i couldnt even say the words -- s

really cool to play the newly remodled stage! -- s

well we had more people than last time we were in Denver! and we got some email addresses and got to hang out w/old friends and really made a great impression on the venue... i would highly recommend this venue! -- s

this show was awesome! well after the fireworks anyway... there was only three bands but another band (who i had originally asked to open the show but never replied back) was promoting that they were on the bill and i found out the day before ...never wanting to be the bad guy, i let them play as well so that there was four bands. i told them they could go on early and play a short set. when i told them it was time to get off stage the vocalist flipped me off and said some things that JUST WERENT GONNA WORK FOR ME. they then started another song so i went and told the sound guy to cut them off at the end of this song. when they started yet another song i grabbed their gear and mics and sent them off stage. the singer threw his mic thus getting his band banned from Burt's (theres only 3 places to play in ABQ downtown so... brilliant!). with the drama and babysitting out of the way we started the REAL show and Eve of an End & Canobliss dominated. our set went well and we ended w/a DIO cover w/my dad jammin -- s

unplugged show! went pretty well ...made some new fans & friends! -- s

great show! Warner Drive & Requiem Mass always dominate! garrett's first show... he did way better than i thought! only one full practice too! -- s

this turned out to be a huge disappointment ...when the drummer and the promoter dont show up how great can it be? -- s

KILLER SHOW! we got shorted on time but the crowd was bangin! we all made a good tribute to our fallen brother Will Barrett and Warner & Requiem played awesome as always -- s

definitely one of the greatest days of my life! all on like 1 hr of sleep too! we killed it at SXSW... our buds Warner Drive came out to watch us w/Dax of Requiem mass on the drums... we had a great dinner w/the legendary Brittany Maas in Round rock TX on the way back to Dallas and then partied w/Vinnie Paul, Videobob & BriDog at the clubhouse! absolutely killer! -- s

HO. LEE. CRAP. these kids brought it tonight! KILLER show... and on a monday too! the venue is awesome i dont know where theyve been hiding this place! we were invited back to do 5 more shows there too! this was alex's first show w/us and he learned 4 out of 5 songs the night before the show... he was a little nervous... but he nailed it and we looked and sounded killer! -- s

not. good.

killer show! our fill in guy was chunking all over creation on the drums but the crowd didnt seem to care! NMT is always a great show but it seems like some of the town of Socorro came out and it was even better! -- s

cuz its a Trainwreck ...oh yeah! wrong way down a one way track! DUDE! this was such a sick coupla nights... getting to hang w/these guys and drive them all over town... absolutely awesome show too! i think there shoulda been more than the 86 who paid but the WRECK loved abq and the launch and want to come back soon! -- s

Nick is a great guy! made good friends w/him and he's emailed us twice since the show! it was really cool to see him doing his new stuff and old Queens stuff acoustic by himself... ill never forget this night! -- s

IN. SANE. this was in a high school gym so it was a basketball court floor. they covered most of it w/rubber mats so the kids wouldnt scuff the floor w/their kicks. what they didnt account for was that TGB was gonna bring the pain for 2 straight hours and the people barrier right up at the front before the stage would be moving like waves in the ocean. and the legs of the entire fence would be lifted and pounded into the uncovered edge of the gym floor to the primal beat of songs like MINE & SAY IT TO MY FACE & DISAPPEAR... oh we wont be forgetting this show anytime soon. killer day and totally worth the drive -- s

i lost my voice that morning but i still croaked it thru 5 songs and we did a meet and greet and promo-ed for the next day... not a bad evening! s

filmed this one for a live DVD! there were some chunkers on a coupla songs and i dont know if itll ever be released but we have 6 angles and audio direct out of the board so we can send our new songs to our label and the producer(s) we wanna work w/ -- s

yeah so this show didnt happen for us! the bar decided to close before we went on ....thats what happens when no other bands promote on the bill!

well what can i say? ALL my pedals went out because of a power situation so we totally winged it and my dad jammed w/us one song ...and it turned out pretty cool! always good to hang w/REquiem ...seems like forever since we jammed w/them -- s

everyone who made it out said it was great but i am DONE w/this venue and its stupid rules about opening the door to paying customers while theres a song playing on stage... also having some gear crap out didnt help -- s

didnt feel like a show til the moment we were about to start SEWN SHUT... we also did a new song tonight called SAY IT TO MY FACE which we have been working on off and on for about a year ...since the last time matt was in the band! it went over pretty well... good crowd and lots of good friends showed up! unfortuately joey got hit by a drunk driver after the show but was ok and his jeep wrangler barley had any damage except maybe on the front tire... you never know in this town! -- s

well at least the heat was on! the only band on the bill who like us was um... us -- s

cant think of another show where i could SEE MY BREATH... and it was an indoor stage folks -- s

frustrating show! unfortunately this venue rarely has it together ...always good to see our brothers in warner drive tho! its never a long enough visit w/those guys -- s

pretty fun! hard to get people out on a sunday night but the people who made it out make it COUNT! -- s

killer radio show! they played THE BETRAYAL OF A FRIEND & CRY off the black TGB record and for the first time MINE was played on FM radio from the green TGB cd! we also each got to pick one influence to play and it was so awesome to hear 3 great songs that NEVER get radio play ...Joey picked Taste of India by Aerosmith from Nine Lives, Matt picked Floods off of The Great Southern Trendkill by Pantera & i picked Nerve by Soilwork from Stabbing the Drama. we also played BLAME, DISAPPEAR & SEWN SHUT unplugged live on the air. it was supposed to be pre recorded at 2pm and air at 5pm but somebody slept thru their alarm so we had to do it live on the air. me. it was me. -- s

INSANE! killer crowd... absolutely worth the drive out and the snowy, icy, treacherous drive home! this was a great show and we made friends w/all the powerman guys right away... cool guys and a great live sound too! -- s

this was THE BEST BURT'S SHOW I'VE EVER SEEN! the crowd was so high energy and it was such a great turnout for Halloween Friday! great first show for Matt... the sound guy was not good w/monitors but its way better bein in TGB w/a 2nd vocal! -- s

not a bad night at all... actually a really good turnout for a wednesday ...our homies in Mike Got Spiked did well and made some bread for the road so thats always good... of course this is the show that berto would quit the band directly after and appoint matt his successor ...right outside in the back alley! and then there would be controversy and general gnashing of teeth from him later on ...but i'm way happier w/matt in the band! -- s

this night was one of the BEST SHOWS IN THIS BAND'S life! first of all i got to do a coupla songs w/Warner Drive at a packed out Roxy theater a little farther up west on Sunset Strip. that was an incredible experience as TGB got to haunt the backstage, dressing rooms, front entrance and loading areas w/50 free wristbands for that evening's Viper Room show! as always the Viper Room was absolutely exquisite and the staff was beyond kind to us. we played a killer set and made a ton of new friends. fromt he pain and disappointment of the night before LA was 100% the city of healing this night and i can't wait til we go back -- s

NOT. GOOD.

so we finally got to meet all our label executives ...and they had two opening bands, a hungry crowd, food, drinks & booze all ready for us! really awesome to hear that we'll be doing this for a living a year from now -- s

i dont know what happened here ...a lot of promises flew out the window on this one! Gallup was sposed to pack out but hey... we still had a good time! wish our buds Warner Drive coulda got some more dough but then again dont we all... Warner played the best set i've seen their new 5 piece lineup do... i was seriously floored! we had a small crowd... only about half the front room full... but there was an energy that worked for me! i thought we played an awesome set and put it away like it should ...next time Gallup... ante up and bring your mom, your friends, your dog & your loose neighbors! -- s

somehow there's been this frustrating trend of unorganized shows falling into my hands ...and all the sudden im the boss and if a band or bands before us on the bill dont like something theyre in MY face about it ...i had had a bit much after the first band on this bill ...BUT KrashKarma saved the night and the mood and let me play guitar on one of my favorite songs by them TEARS OF GASOLINE and we ended their set w/a guitar duel by me and mr Zakk mutha(shutcho mouth!) Bowman... GREAT STUFF! then of course TGB closed out the night w/a great set including the 1st time playing a new song HAUNT live... we did our set and thought we were finished but our KK buds wanted to hear the u2 cover we did at the MINT in LA so we pulled it out and partied all night afterwards ...awesome night after all! but only for the bands that didnt complain -- s

wow... this was one of the most insane days of my life... so sometime mid afternoon we get the call that the Sunshine Theater pulled the plug on the Revolting Cocks show because ticket sales werent high enough... but RevCo were still in NM wanting to play and they wanted to get on OUR BILL. so we were all over it ...immediately Berto let me know and i got ahold of their tour manager and began to make it happen... when we got to the venue unfortunately things were barely organized at best ...once we introduced the Xfactor of throwing a big touring band on 2nd to last slot (RevCo still wanted us to headline!) the evening almost fell apart ...the lady who was putting the show on got wasted right away (oh awesome) and no one was stage managing the 25 sets w/backline and 5 min changeovers ...by the time i decided to take charge the show was already hopelessly behind and the incompetent sound guy was not helping matters ...i did however receive some kind compliments from the owner of the El Rey which was a nice break from almost every other band on the bill bitching ME out about the change in scheduling ...keep in mind originally sets were 30 mins ...guess what other bands? you can put in your bio that you opened for the Revolting Cocks because of TGB. we brought them into that venue and youre lucky you were kept on the bill. i've never seen so much bitching, complaining and bickering over a 5 min set reduction. RevCo were extremely professional of course and even cut some tunes so that we had a 25 min set after theirs. the sound guy in his amazing dooshiness turned off the pa midway thru our last song and as we finished up a half instrumental version of MEMPHIS i went directly from my pedal board onstage, tromping thru the backstage area, down the sidehall, into the audience & directly to the soundboard and ALMOST killed the guy w/my bare hands. hey sound guy -- you never EVER cut the power when a band is in the middle of a song... remember that on your 43rd bday in your parents basement -- s

a really strange bill for us to headline! but hey i have fun yelling at people as they leave terrified! -- s

a night FILLED w/adversity from a lot of the other bands on the bill and the people they drew ...we got screwed w/an early slot but we drew and drew well and our people made it all worth it! -- s

another amazing night of pure destruction and all star jams at Atomic! this place is becoming the official haunt of TGB for friday gigs! i had a killer time playing w/the newly five piece Warner Drive on BROKEN and got out the 12 string that sees the light of day like 3 times a yr max... thats metal baby! -- s

a meager turnout in pure numbers but the kids who were there OWNED! plus we ended up getting Powerman 5000 confirmed and more dates to fill out the cold months -- s

this was a cool show! we made some great show trade buddies as we were the only abq band on the bill! i personally had some family members come out from out of town that never get to see us live -- s

well this turned out to be a really awesome and fun night... some of the past TGB members we were expecting initially didnt show (the 1st lineup of the band from 2004) but the latest ex-drummer and latest ex-bassist made it all worth it! the 3 of us current TGB-ers played BETRAYAL w/Sammy Snacktime & Berto on guitar, Steve on vocals only, Joey on drums and Sammy's brother on bass! that was a great jam! -- s

BEST SHOW OF THE WHOLE TOUR! this was a great night ...we scared the piss outta so many pop bubble gum trendy drooling la baby grandmas this night it was awesome! only our friends and fam remained as we hashed out new TGB anthems like SEWN SHUT & BLAME and rammed CHOKE & THE NEW SAUCE right up the ol yin yang! it was a great night ...drove to vegas right after because we had one more show on this tour ...it cancelled the next day at noon but we got into an industry part that night that was more than worth it! -- s

yeeeaaahh lets not talk about this one ...supposedly one of the best shows w/Joey yet ...i had no voice and the crowd was mostly unresponsive ...but our people loved it! -- s

whiney little dudes in wife beaters and wool caps shouldnt be sound guys ..."wanna go totally morbid angel and turn your amp completely around away from the crowd and yourselves?" um... no -- s

hotter than crap as usual! it seems like some of these all ages scenes are under attack just like our town has been for a few years now ...sad! -- s

next tour kickoff show is not gonna be the night before we leave butt early in the am ill tell ya that! -- s

INCREDIBLY SICK! this show will always stick in our heads as the day our fans came out for US! we got completely screwed w/1st slot on a bill where should not have (even the flier read differently) but we were greenlit for a live dvd & audio recording for the 30 min set and we were going on at 9pm. the time slot changed w/2 days notice and we were not happy campers about that. so we got the word out as far and as fast as we could that we needed people to be on this dvd. and they SHOWED. the place was packed and the performance went off incredibly. considering this was Joey's 5th show and we did 2 new songs its was absolutely amazing. thanks to everyone who made this one insanely successfull! -- s

an awesome night for sure! the roast was hilarious ...it was good to play a whole hour ...we never really get to do that anymore! the cherry on top of the whole night was signing our record contract in front of our hometown crowd ...that and the afterparty! -- s

an awesome night! Lightnin Bill blew everyone away as i knew he would ...not as good as last night but definitely rounded out a great weekend! -- s

this was w/out a doubt the sickest Atomic show ever! the place was moving it was so packed! and we OWNED this crowd! we even sustained some injuries! -- s

Joey's first show w/us ...we practiced only twice and did six songs - betrayal, memphis, blame, the mahon song by dvda, choke & mine ...over all it went purty well... joey chunked up a coupla times on some q's but other than that i had minimal gear trouble (backlined show)... good stuff altogether! killer after party too! member those? -- s

AWESOME show ...didnt think itd go that well! we had ex-TGB drummer Justin Florez (in the band aug 06-may 07 and on the Green album) on drums ...and the last time we played w/him was Apr 28, 2007! so it was a bit of a nail biter as we were getting ready for the first song ...but it went great! our new drummer Joey was front and center watching as he knew his first show w/us was rapidly approaching ...and KrashKarma whooped everyone's butt too! -- s

so when i forget my fan ...people get fired! that or if they play TERRIBLE -- s

not bad for an unplugged show! we did a long set that pretty much blew out my voice and then me and berto did some encore covers and such ...we played every song from the black TGB album i noticed which was cool ...not in order or next to each other but i dont know many shows we've had all 7 songs from the first one! -- s

oh man to get this gig 2 yrs in a row is such an honor! this was insane bcuz we hired our drummer 3 days before and auditioned him 2 days before this show (you heard me ...do the math folks) bcuz we got this show via phone on our drive to Soilwork! so this guy had to pull off 4 45 min sets w/us for his first show! i pretty much blew out my voice but we pulled it off! -- s

HOLY CRAP. this was an amazing night ...to have full access to watch our heroes soundcheck & play the show was incredible ...i really solidified my friendship w/Speed and he gave me a vocal lesson and is definitely a TGb fan now ...it was great! what a cool guy ...and a good friend! -- s

wham, bam, thank you maam! i was gone from the house like 3 hrs ...quick show for sure ...not bad for a sun ...dax still filled in -- s

a big thanks to everyone who came out to the show last night ...this weekend turned out to be pretty killer after all... considering how it started! thanks again to Dax from Requiem Mass for handling it last night w/us ...and for signing on for a few more shows too! last night was a killer time and we got great recordings of it too which we will probably share at some point someday... hope to see you guys at atomic ...we'll get to those new songs real soon! -- s

not the greatest night ...the crowd was awesome tho!

pretty fun man ...we got jacked on our slot because of a coupla other band(s) being retawded ...but hey! we had fun at the time we got up there and it was a pretty good night over all -- s

1st show w/the new lineup ...we did 2.5 new songs and it went over really reall well... packed pretty good for a wed too -- s

still gotta hear it! its a 1 hr show ...they played the whole black TGB album and one cut off the live one ...and then had half hr phone interview w/us -- s

a bit of a let down after the Drowning Pool show actually ...the highlight was definitely my dad jumping up for a rendition of Tool's Led Zeppelin cover "No Quarter" ...that was sic! this show was a bit under attended and the band before us took half an hr to set up and scared away our crowd ...thaaaaanks... but yeah we still ended the year on a good note ...as me and Matt & Tyler were sitting at Denny's by Tyler's house at 330am we realized that this was the first time we'd hung out socially just the 3 of us w/no girls or roommates or other members of other bands ...and it felt pretty good -- s

this was one of the most incredible nights of my life! i will never forget the people in Farmington on this night ...it didnt hurt that the venue sold out for this show either ...this was one of the sickest crowds we've ever had and the gear snafus of the day earlier were all washed away in a landmark 40 min TGB set ...and Drowning Pool were real nice guys too! -- s

we made some great new friends in Opus Dai, a really awesome band from LA and it sounds we are gonna be show trading w/them in the spring and maybe even touring together ...we gave them all the cash and the best slot so unfortunately the crowd was kind of dying out by the time we got up there ...but oh well! its all karma and business points for 2009 ...these cats said they could set us up at the Roxy ...so thats sic! -- s

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! i cant believe we sold out the Launchpad! it was definitely one of those things on my list of things to do before i die ...and all the bands on the bill definitely had a hand in it too! i knew on stage it was the most people i'd seen on the floor of the launch in a long time but to find out the next day that it was over 300 people paid ...thats just sic! we ruled it as Nirvana and the old main tore it up as ZZtop and then i think the drinks flowed! -- s

matt beneath's first show w/us ...hard to make the el rey look full ...good crowd for the people that showed up ...nice to get everyone on stage at the end -- s

this would turn out to be chris's last show w/us ...not bad tho! some minor gear snafus but nothing too big and hairy -- s

boooommmmbbbb ...jonny from warner drive and his lovely partner in crime playmate brandie moses were the only friends that showed ...other than them we just played for the other bands and the promoter bailed on paying us ...it was nice to have my amp back tho ...s

this show was pay to play and we ALMOST broke even thanks to Warner Drive and their ladies buying our tickets ...almost breaking even on a Monday night on the Sunset Strip w/no friend bands is no small feat lemme tell ya ...we did get to go see a band at the Whiskey a Go Go which was badass (they let us in free) and then we got to go to an afterparty at the Viper Room (they let us in free but because they actually remembered us by now) and it was hosted by the kid from Married w/Children and our pal Aubry from VH1 Rock of Love 2 ...that was definitely the best part of the night! thanks to Chris from Warner Drive tho for bringing his VHT head for me to use ...and then calling Mesa Boogie the next day and getting mine fixed in a jiff -- s

the two bands w/the draw on this bill BAILED ...so that sucked but it was nice of the guitarist of Empathis to let me use his 120 watt Crate blue voodoo tube head ...actually sounded pretty good! we also realized on this night that i left my cable box w/all my accessories and such in nv ...bummer... but we had all people in there for us so that says somethin ...and met some killer new friends! -- s

ah the disaster begins ...so it was 107 degrees on an outdoor stage w/no cover ...and as soon as we got up there there was a sand storm ...then my amp blew 3 and a half songs into the set ...brutal man -- s

chris's bday show ...ungratefulness abounds -- s

SO incredible! these guys were WAY cool to us ...we were hangin out on their bus and they watched our set from the side and really dug our stuff ...they gave us the contact info for their booking agent and they want us to open for them again ...s

ok just in case you werent there at hyperfest this weekend ...it was so sick! on Friday night we played Atomic Cantina ...our slot got pushed back a little bit later than the promoter originally told us ...so that was way better! we went on and MAN was it a good crowd! we got to play our full set and everything sounded great and went smoothly over all! then we were loading our stuff out to the Ford Beneath and all these dudes were swirling around us w/clipboards & headsets asking who's car this was? I was like "mine! mine!" so they asked if they could use it in their shot! about that time i noticed movie cameras and semi trucks everywhere so i told em to go for it! they said they were filming season 2 of Breaking Bad on AMC and they stuffed two incredibly hot chicks w/about $3000 in 100's in my car and said "ok this is the big drug deal scene"! aw dude! then they brought out this homey lookin dude w/a mohawk and they shot it up and then they all split as quickly as they appeared. THEN out of the front of Atomic Cantina strolls Shannon Larkin ...the drummer of Godsmack! this guy is grade A drum genius! he said he watched our whole set by himself and he was really impressed! we hooked him up our cds and a shirt and his assistant tried to take them right away but he ripped off the shirt he was wearing in the middle of the street and slapped ours on and rocked it for the rest of the night! we got to hang out w/him all night fri as well as sat! then we took in The Platforms ...four incredibly hot ladies from Austin who we made friends with and spent the rest of the weekend with too! Another band that blew us away was Divebomber from San Diego ...we partied w/everyone in their hotel room and barely made it home alive! it was a killer weekend -- s
